Gideon was founded in 1998. We serve the diocese by providing a televised Mass to serve those who are homebound or on infirmity for whatever reason. The Mass airs on local stations throughout the diocese and surrounding areas. The TV Mass can be viewed on WEHT Channel 25, an ABC affiliate out of Henderson, KY as well as UPN affiliate WQWQ, UPN the Beat, out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. It can be seen on Insight Cable's Religious Access channel in Bowling Green, Kentucky and Time Warner Cable 72 in Owensboro. Check your local listings for air times. Mission Statement
In particular, we hope to bring by means of an inspiring televised Catholic Mass, the ever growing number of homebound brothers and sisters back into the mainstream life of the Church. The story of Gideon teaches us that God can do a lot with very little. |
